The Bear showing is located about 2 kilometres southeast of Yvonne Peak, 31 kilometres northeast of Stewart.

The area is underlain by Lower Jurassic Unuk River Formation (Hazelton Group) silicified pyrite-bearing andesite pyroclastics. Some of this rock at the showing has been recently uncovered by melting ice. One of three rock samples taken yielded anomalous zinc; sample 87601 assayed 0.11 per cent zinc and 3.7 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 30314).

In 2008, Auramex Resource Corp. carried out stream sediment sampling, rock sampling and prospecting on their Bear property.
